Class B Roads

With 83 miles of paved roads, increasing maintenance and reconstruction costs, and being sandwiched around State Highway 29 with side road access the Town of Wheaton had to make strategic road classification changes in order to better protect the financial investment of Town of Wheaton citizens in town roads. The intent is to extend the life of Town of Wheaton roads and ensure paved town roads are sustainable into the future.

On September 14, 2021 Ordinance Chapter 42 Class B Designation For Town of Wheaton Roads was adopted and Class B road signs were erected on the specified town roads.

20th Street from State Highway 12 to the Frontage Road beside State Highway 29
20th Avenue from 50th St to County Highway F
30th Street from 20th Avenue to the Frontage Road beside State Highway 29
30th Avenue from 50th St to County Highway F
40th Street from County Line Road to the Frontage Road beside State Highway 29
50th Street from 20th Ave to State Highway 29
