NOTICE

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 349.16, the Town of Wheaton road seasonal weight limit restrictions will become effective on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 7:00am until further notice.  

The Town of Wheaton road seasonal weight limit restrictions for 2026 will be set at 10 Tons Gross weight (20,000#), with a maximum axle load of 6 Tons.  The seasonal weight limit restrictions apply to all Town of Wheaton roads.

This is a critical period of time for the township roads in order to avoid costly damage and we request support and cooperation for this temporary load limit. Penalties can be imposed under sec. 348.21, Wis. Statutes for violations.
