JOB OPPORTUNITY: VOLUNTEER FIRE CHIEF
The Town of Wheaton Chippewa County Wisconsin is seeking applicants for the position of Fire Chief of
Wheaton Fire & Rescue.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This is a management level position involving the oversight and administration of the daily operations and training functions of the department. The Fire Chief provides direct supervision to the department’s Deputy Chief, EMS Director, Training and Safety Officer, Fire Inspector and Captains.
This is a volunteer leadership position supported by an annual stipend of $5000 annually.
Education / Experience
The Fire Chief shall have at least ten (10) years verifiable fire service experience. No less than three (3) of those years with Wheaton Fire & Rescue preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience to provide sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential elements of the job such as those listed above.
Certificates and Licenses
- Valid Wisconsin Drivers License
- Meets requirements of SPS330 and NFPA 1001
- Maintain EMR or EMT Certification
