Road Replacement

Town of Wheaton, Chippewa County

Notice is hereby given by the Town of Wheaton (the Owner), Chippewa County, Wisconsin will receive sealed bids for Road Replacement as listed in this request until 7:00 PM local time on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the Town Hall located at: 

Wheaton Town Hall

4975 County Road T

Chippewa Falls, WI 54729

At that time all bids will be opened and read aloud. 

Sealed bids for the projects designated below will be received for and on behalf of the Town of Wheaton at the location listed above on or before that time and date. 

 Acceptance and/or rejection of the bids will be conducted at the meeting of the Town Board on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 6PM.   Sealed bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:  Town of Wheaton, Road Replacement Bid, Attn: Scott Deutscher, Town Clerk.  

Bids will be accepted for addition of 3” of base course, pulverizing and paving of the town roads, shouldering work as listed on the Bid Form. See project description and specifications for details. 

Projects:

  1. 50th Ave from CTH T to 50th Street
  2. 70th Street from 50th Avenue north to termination
  3. 30th Street from STH 29 south to 30th Avenue
  4. Renick Addition 54th Ave to termination, then 102nd Ave, 103rd Avenue and 104th Ave to terminations. See special requirement to remove existing pavement, base course and provide new base and pavement to existing elevation. Finished elevation shall not be higher than pre construction elevation. May require excavation of 6”-8” before applying and compacting new base.
  5. 10th Street from CTH M North to new pavement, approx. .5 miles

Unit price bid will be required for this project.  Specific items and quantities can be found in the bid documents. 

Documents will be ready on Monday, May 18th 2026.   Bids shall be on the forms provided by the Town of Wheaton.  All road work must be completed by October 2, 2026. 

The Town of Wheaton reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.  No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the date of the bid award.
